Dr Malte Jaensch : Development Manager & Founder
Malte is one of the founders of EVO Electric Limited. He gained a Masters in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany in 2003 and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London in 2006. His doctoral thesis on complex mechatronic systems won him the Unwin Price for best PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Malte has a in-depth experience in the design and development of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, including CAD, mechanical and electromagnetic FEA, data acquisition, vibration analysis and analytical modelling. Malte leads EVO’s R&D team in the design and implementation of the company’s products.

Dr Ralph Clague: Chief Engineer Hybrid Systems
After graduating from Imperial College in 1996 with a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Ralph worked for nine years in the automotive powertrain technology sector as an analyst and designer of cutting edge internal combustion engines. He gained his PhD from Imperial College in 2008, studying the computational analysis of fuel cells. In this time, Ralph was also responsible for setting up the Green Racing project at Imperial. At EVO, Ralph works on advanced electric and hybrid drive systems with a particular interest in control systems and battery management. He also holds the position of Research Fellow at Imperial College London.

Dr Ilja Siera : Development Engineer
Ilja is an aeronautical engineer with experience in the development of advanced analysis methods and control techniques for combustion and emissions control. He gained a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, where he conducted research into optimised coal combustion. At EVO he is responsible for the research and development of the control architecture for our hybrid powertrain products.

James Rosson : Commercial Manager
James has a background in supply chain management involving hybrid vehicle projects together with materials and logistics management in the commercial vehicle, consumer electronics and aerospace sectors. James’ responsibilities here at EVO cover sales, customer relationship management and product marketing.

Gustaf Plith : Production Engineering & Quality Manager
Gustaf has over 10 years of diverse manufacturing and development experience in the automotive, aerospace, fibre optic and industrial sectors. In addition to his MSc degree in Automation Engineering, he holds qualifications as a PRINCE2 practitioner, an IRCA approved Lead Auditor and has a Professional Certificate in Management. In his current role at EVO, Gustaf is responsible for quality control, purchasing and production.

Rogier van Camelbecke: Chief Technician
After gaining a Bsc in Mechanical Engineering in Belgium, Rogier soon moved to England where he started an impressive career as a race car mechanic. Initially, he worked for the Morgan Motor Company as race technician and chief mechanic, later followed by a job as engine technician at Ferrari. Before joining EVO, he helped develop the GT3 race car as a race technician for Ascari Ltd. At EVO, Rogier leads the prototyping workshop, works on the development and design of our power products and supervises the assembly of EVO’s motors and generators.
